Major import markets for this product group include China with 9,796 tons, up 802% compared to the same period in 2022; Bangladesh with 5,844 tons, up 100%; India with 3,722 tons, up 48.7%; and notably, Laos imported 2,927 tons of ginger, turmeric, and spices from Vietnam, a growth of 11,608% compared to the same period in 2022.
For the entire year of 2022, exports of this product group earned over $23.1 million.

According to data from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam’s turmeric powder export value reached $9.8 million in the first nine months of 2023, a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2022. The main export markets for Vietnam are the United States, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and European countries.
